Prof. Dr. ABM Abdus Salam obtained MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital in 1983. After finishing his internship, he was appointed as GP in sub-divisional hospital in Islamic Republic of Iran in 1984 to 1991. Then he was appointed as senior Medical Officer & Register in Dhaka Shishu Hospital (DSH) from 1992-2001. He obtained FCPS (Pediatrics) in January 1995 from Bangladesh College of Physicians (BCPS). During this time he obtained one year training in pediatric Cardiology from DSH. He also obtained MD (Pediatrics) in January 1998 from Dhaka University.
Prof. Abdus Salam is the Vice President of Pediatric Cardiac Society of Bangladesh (PCSB) & also the General Secretary of Bangladesh of Child Heart Trust of Bangladesh (CHTB) which is a benevolent organization.
